Oh, I really hate my pregnancy symptoms for the past two months!!! I have been trying very hard to combat my battle with nausea and vomiting all the times, but my conditions didn’t improve at all.Ryan was very considerate, and he allowed me to do whatever I want to do even when my mood is bad.I think I will owe him a big apology when our baby is due to deliver a few months later!
20 July 1985 (Sunny Day)
Today I went to see our gynecologist again, and he told me that my baby is gaining some weight for the past month.I was very happy to see my baby is swimming on my womb, and I am sure that I will be giving birth of a healthy baby next year!!!
Recently I found that my back is getting ache & stiffness very easily, and I talked to Clara about it and she told me that our back is going to get worse and worse when the baby ages.
At night, Ryan has helped me to do some massages on my back and he said that he can’t wait to see the birth of our baby four months later.He kissed and promised me that he will try to be a 100% good father and husband from now on.But deep in my heart, I think he is already a 100% good husband!
12 November 1985 (Rainy Day)
After careful consideration and persuasion from Ryan and my mom, today is the last day of my short career.Originally I thought that I should continue working after giving birth of my baby, but Ryan has insisted that I should stay at home and grow up our baby in the future.My mom also said that I should quit my job, as my health is not that good.My gynecologist has discovered that I have anemia, and I should pay extra attention on my health.Ryan was crazy when he heard the diagnosis from our doctor, and the doctor continued by saying that I was too skinny to nurture a baby and my health is required to keep in a good standard if we would like to have our second baby in the future.
Ryan gave me a big hug in order to comfort me up, and he said that the best way for me to return to normal health was to quit the job and stayed at home.In addition, he said that he should be promoted very soon and our financial status should be improved.
BTW, Clara has already given birth of a big baby boy yesterday.I wish I can come to visit them very soon!
15 December 1985 (Foggy Day)
Being a housewife is not an easy task!!! I was bored to death after staying at home for a month, and during that time, all I was doing was eating and sleeping.Ryan has refused to let me do anything other than eating and sleeping, and I saw him became very tired after work and finishing all household chores.I felt very sad on seeing him so busy, and he said that he is going to be fine.

25 December 1985 (Sunny Day)
Times flied!!! Oh, it was another Christmas again…. This year, it was such a special one as both Ryan and I will be waiting for our baby to arrive.He/she should be due early next month, and we spent our holidays together to do the final checkup before his/her arrival.Personally I hope that I can give birth of a baby girl, and on the other hand, Ryan said that he has no preference at all.Haaaaaaaa….. How lucky I am!
This afternoon I called up Clara to find out how’s the life with her new born son.She said that they have decided to name him “Marco”, and she also said that she will come to visit me when I give birth next month.I told Clara that my baby has been kicking my womb very much lately, and she laughed at me and said that this baby is going to be a naughty one.
On the other hand, Ryan has paid a lot of attention on me for the past few weeks, as he was afraid that I will not be able to handle my delivery well.I told him not to worry too much on me, and he should relax and look forward to another important moment between us!
1 January 1986 (Sunny Day)
I felt very tired and lazy for the past few days, and I knew that my baby is going to arrive very soon.Ryan also noticed my laziness, and he just let me sleep as long as I want to.He also asked me to eat more so that I will have more energy when I give birth later on.Every time I told him I was not hungry, he just stared at me and said “Kiki, just look at yourself…. I have never heard of any pregnant woman who had gained only 8-10 pounds for the whole pregnancy period! Kiki, I really worried about your health…. Please….. Please try to eat more, otherwise I will feel very guilty….”Every time I heard him saying that, I will just stop him and eat.Oh man, I think he is trying to grow me into a piglet.
Quite frankly, I can’t accept my body figure to be altered after birth, and I will work very hard to regain my figure for sure!I am so proud of it for all these years on my proportionate body size, and Ryan always said that he loves it very much.
Ooh, I am tired again…. Guess that I have to go to bed now!
8 January 1986 (Sunny Day) – Part I
Pain…..Pain…..Pain!!! This morning, I woke in severe pain on my womb… I felt that my baby is moving very quickly on my womb, and Ryan also noticed my discomfort and he said that he will bring me to the hospital as soon as possible.When I was prepared to go to the hospital, I told Ryan to wait for me as I need to go to the washroom first.
When I went to the washroom, I saw that some clear yellowish liquid has been coming out from my vagina.I screamed out and Ryan came in and told me that our baby will be delivered very soon.
Oh, our baby is going to arrive today!!! Holy smoke………..

8 January 1986 (Sunny Day) – Part II
A while later, both of us arrived at the hospital and Ryan told me that he had contacted our gynecologist and the doctor should be arrive very soon.I was very worried about my delivery, and Ryan held my hands and told me that he is going to the delivery room with me.
I felt very nervous at the moment; in addition, the weird surroundings on the hospital made me very sick of it.I felt that my womb was starting to have severe pain again, and I knew that I was having the so-called “labor pain” and it will be gone when I give birth of my baby.
Our gynecologist came to my room to have a thorough checkup on me, and he told us that our baby is indeed going to come out very soon!He instructed me to get relax, and he would like to come out to get prepare for my delivery.
When I came into the delivery room five minutes later, I felt very scared as the room itself is so full of medical devices.I saw that Ryan was wearing a surgeon gown too, and he dropped by my side a minute later.I told him that I was very scared, and he said that he will hold my hands until our baby is delivered.
Ooooh, soooooo painful again!!!! I felt that my lower part body was having a multitude of pain now… I sweated really heavily, and Ryan noticed my pain too and he said that he will not allow me to have another child in the future as a result of seeing my discomfort.I touched his face gently, and the gynecologist said that I was ready to give birth.
The doctor instructed me to hold my breathe and push hard for the contractions.After a few trials, I became very tired but I haven’t seen anything coming out yet.Ryan held my hands really tight, and he whispered to me saying “Kiki, you must be very tired after all these trials, right?Oh, I will give you a big prize after the birth of our baby…Keep working hard, honey, I know you can do that…”I thought I have regained some of my energy after hearing his lovely comments, and I did try to push as hard as I can.
15 minutes later -- -- I tried my best to have one last push and I was just exhausted and ready to give up.Suddenly I saw something brown or black in color came out from my vagina, and I heard a voice crying out very loud! Ryan was very excited and he rushed to the other side to see our newborn baby!!! He came back a minute later, and said that I just gave birth to a baby girl, and she looked very healthy and cute.
After a few more contractions, I have finally expelled my placenta and I told Ryan that I was feeling so tired and I need to take a long nap.

9 January 1986 (Sunny Day)
Giving birth to a child is not an easy task after my experience yesterday.I seemed to be totally exhausted, and I simply lost all of my energy to do other stuff.All I felt yesterday was pain, tiredness and sleepiness.But of course, I do have a fulfilled heart as I saw that my baby girl has arrived finally!
This morning, Ryan came in to the hospital very early again.I saw that his eyes were red, and I asked him what happened.He said that he can’t get into sleep last night because he was too excited to see the birth of our daughter.He kissed me gently on my hands, and he thanked me for giving him such a beautiful daughter.I told him that he was too silly for his action last night, and he should rest more as we will be having very busy times in the near future.
Ryan asked me whether I have seen our baby yet and I said “no” to him, he knocked my head and said that I was too careless.A minute later, both of us have reached the baby room to see our beautiful daughter together.When I went into the room, I can find our daughter very easily as she looks exactly like me when I was born.She has a pair of big eyes, a very straight nose, and a small mouth.In addition, her skin is very creamy pink in color and her hair is slightly brown in color.But she looks longer in terms of body size, and I think she inherited this from Ryan.Haaaaaaaa….. How nice my daughter looks….
In the afternoon, my mom and Clara came to visit us together.My mom was teary when she saw her grand daughter, and she said that my daughter looks very similar to me too.Clara said that she was amazed by the prettiness of my daughter, and she guaranteed that my daughter will become a very beautiful girl when she grows up.
Later on in the afternoon, my gynecologist dropped by and he told me that I can leave the hospital tomorrow with my baby.Ryan and I thanked him for helping us to deliver our daughter, and he said that I should take more rest to regain my energy.
Oooh, I am so happy that I can go home tomorrow with my daughter!
10 January 1986 (Sunny Day)
This morning, Ryan came to the hospital together with my mom.My mom helped me to pack my personal belongings and Ryan and I went to the baby room to pick up our daughter.I was very happy when I reached home, and I saw that my baby was sleeping very peacefully on my arms.
When we were settled, my mom suddenly asked us whether we have decided on the name of our baby yet.I looked at Ryan, and he said that he had chosen a few names: Michelle, Laurina, and Denise.I told him that I prefer my baby to be called “Laurina”, as it was less popular and more unique.My mom said that the name was ok, and we have settled Laurina as the name of our daughter!

8 February 1986 (Sunny Day)
Today is Laurina’s one month old birthday!Oh, we have invited my mom, Clara, Tom and his baby son “Marco” to come over for dinner.It was my first time to see Marco, and he looked very healthy and handsome.
Laurina has been gaining some weight since her birth, and all of them said that my baby looked very healthy and pretty.Clara was amazed that I have already returned to my normal body size, and I told her that I have chosen to breastfed my daughter.She said that she has difficulty to return to her normal body size, and I laughed at her and said that Tom has been given too many good foods for her.
Tonight when we were at bed, Ryan whispered to me and said that he would like to give me a special gift for my pregnancy.He asked me to close my eyes, and I felt that he has helped me to wear a bracelet.When I opened my eyes, I saw that Ryan bought me a very beautiful silver bracelet.I told him that I love this bracelet very much, but he shouldn’t buy me anymore gifts in the future as we need to save some more money for Laurina.
8 July 1986 (Sunny Day)
Another half year went by very quickly.I have been very busy for nurturing my daughter since her birth, and I found that I have written far less diaries for the past few months.I didn’t pick up my pen for half a year already! Isn’t that amazing?
Every time I would like to pick up my pen, either Laurina needs me or I have to do housework.During nighttime, I don’t have time to write it either as I have to serve Ryan and Laurina.Besides, I was feeling exhausted after a day of work.But inside my heart, I felt fulfilled and I don’t have any regrets or complaints at all.
Laurina is ½ year old already! Being a mother, I found that my life and mindset have been changed very much.Before I have Laurina, I will focus my whole life on Ryan.But ever since her birth, I have started to focus a lot of my attention on her.I am scared that she will be sick, hurt, and whatever.I will just treat her stuff as my priority, and Ryan said that he was jealous on Laurina.
On the other hand, Ryan and I were still very much in love with each other.He is just an excellent husband and father, and he has always noticed our needs and wants.So in conclusion, I am a really lucky woman! What else is more important than family for a married woman….. Haaaaaaaaaa…. I am very much satisfied!!!

Laurina was very touched when she finished reading all of the chapters above, and she knew that both her mom and dad loved her so much.She discovered that her mom has simply quit writing the diary for a few years until she went to kindergarten.
She has spent a few months to organize all of her mom’s diaries, and it was already in the summer times.Aunt Clara knew that Laurina was reading Kiki’s diaries, and she often came in and asked Laurina whether she can fully understood her mom’s writing or not.
Inside Laurina’s heart, she felt that Uncle Leon has been very innocent and she wondered whether he is still alive or not.She told herself that she will try to find him in the near future!
In the next morning, Laurina went out to her garden to have a short walk.She saw that the house next to her has been sold already and the new owner was moving in this morning.She was very amazed to see that the new owner of the house got a lot of expensive antiques.She wondered how the owner looked like……..Oh, maybe the new owner is an artist or designer……..
A while later, when Laurina and Ruby were about to go out to do some shopping, their doorbell was ringing.Ruby went out to open the door, and both of them saw that a handsome middle-age man was standing there smiling to them.When the man saw Laurina, he became very astonished and murmured “Kiki……. How come you look so similar to Kiki???”
Laurina was shocked for a minute, and she knew that this man must know her mother.When she was just about to speak, Aunt Clara came out from the kitchen and saw the man as well.Aunt Clara was shocked when she saw the man too, and Laurina heard the man saying “Clara, long time no see!!!!I just moved in to the house next to yours this morning, and I would like to say “hi” to my new neighbor…. But I didn’t know that this house is owned by you & Tom….. Jesus Christ, isn’t that amazing?”
Aunt Clara then said “Hi, Leon! I was so surprised to see you now…. Wow, I haven’t seen you for almost 20 years….. So, how’s your life?”When Laurina heard the words from Aunt Clara, she was stunned to know that this man is indeed Uncle Leon!!!No wonder mom said that Uncle Leon was handsome, he’s still handsome now!
Leon then pointed Laurina and said “Clara, how about Kiki didn’t get old at all? Or is she Kiki’s close relatives?”Aunt Clara replied by saying “Leon, she is Ryan & Kiki’s daughter – Laurina… Isn’t that you have seen her when she is a kid?Laurina, come over to my side and I would like to introduce you to Leon…”

Laurina was shy when she took out her hands, and she noticed that Uncle Leon was staring at her very strangely.He then said “Oh my god!!! Laurina is already a mature young lady…. Times flied by very quickly…. But Laurina, you look exactly like your mom….But you look way taller than Kiki….. Haaaaaaaa…. Well, it’s nice to meet you…. I am sure we will see each other very soon!”
Laurina saw that Uncle Leon was blinking his eyes when he left their house, and Aunt Clara told Laurina that he was a dangerous man to approach.She found that this Uncle Leon is such a funny person, and in general, she had a good first impression on him.On the other hand, when Leon headed back to his home, he told himself that he’s got to chase after Laurina as he really loves her glamorous appearance.He will never let go of her, and he can’t take another chance of losing her.
In the following day, Leon knew that Laurina has a normal practice of having a short walk every morning on her garden, so he just waited there for her to show up.A while later, he saw that Laurina did come out to have a walk.But there was a guy walking with her this morning, and he saw that Laurina was having a good time to chat with this guy.Leon has decided to come out and say morning to her, and hopefully she would introduce him to the other person.
When Laurina saw Uncle Leon, she waved at him and said “Good morning, Uncle Leon… Wow, you like to have a short walk in the morning too?”Leon looked a bit disappointed and he slowly said “Laurina, can you call me ‘Leon’ next time?I am a bachelor still… BTW, who is this young fellow? Your boyfriend?”Laurina shook her head immediately and said “Of course not, Leon…. He is Marco, the son of Uncle Tom & Aunt Clara…We grew up together, and I treat him as my older brother…Ok, Marco… Let me introduce you to Leon, who is one of my mom’s good friends” When Marco heard Laurina’s introduction, he felt very disappointed as he has tried to tell Laurina on his love for the past couple of years.Ever since Laurina moved into their house more than 10 years ago, he has been telling himself that Laurina must be his choice as she looks extraordinarily pretty, in addition, she is kind and clever.Marco knew that his parents love Laurina very much too.
When Leon took a look at Laurina, he was amazed that Laurina was also stared at him.While he was smiling to her, he saw that Laurina’s face has turned to red and she slowly tilted her head downward.He knew that Laurina liked him very much, and he cleared his throat and asked “Laurina, do you have some time tomorrow night?I knew that one of the best French restaurants has opened a shop recently in town…. Do you want to try it out with me?”
Laurina felt very happy on Leon’s invitation, and she replied “Sure, no problem! I love French cuisine very much… See you tomorrow then, Leon!”When Laurina went back to her room, she was very excited on the date tomorrow night and she found that she really loved to hear Leon’s voice and seeing him in person.

Laurina has spent a lot of times to prepare for the meeting this evening with Leon.She has chosen to wear a white shirt, together with a short black skirt.She also wore a long black leather boots, in order to show her long legs.When she finished changing up, she looked at the mirror and was very much satisfied with her appearance.
When she went downstairs to wait for Leon, she saw that both Aunt Clara and Marco were sitting at the family room waiting for her.Aunt Clara then said “Laurina, are you going out with Leon tonight?”Laurina nodded her head and said “Yes, Auntie… I will go out with him tonight… Is there something that I should take note of?”Aunt Clara then said “Laurina, I know you are an adult already…You can make your own decisions… But Leon is a dangerous man to approach, and you should be cautious on him every moment…. I don’t want you to suffer in the future…”
Laurina then slowly said “Sure, Auntie… I will pay attention on him… But I think he’s a gentleman so far….”When Marco was about to speak up, the door bell was ringing and they saw that Leon was standing there holding a bunch of white roses.Leon walked into the house a minute later, and he handed the bunch of flowers to Laurina.Laurina was very happy to receive the flowers from him, and she tilted her head down & said “Thank you”.
When Leon and Laurina went out for dinner, Aunt Clara told Marco that Laurina will soon fall in love with Leon.Marco was very angry to hear that, and he went back to his room very quietly afterwards.Aunt Clara knew that Marco loves Laurina very much, and she hopes that Laurina will choose Marco in the future.
When Laurina arrived at the restaurant, she discovered that Leon has booked the whole restaurant to be with her alone.She felt very shy at first, but Leon was very considerate and he kept on talking about himself all the times.Laurina found that she didn’t have difficulty to understand him at all, and they have very good times throughout the whole dinner.
On the other hand, Leon found that Laurina is a very friendly girl and he hoped that he can spend more times knowing her.When the dinner was over, Leon invited Laurina for a walk at the beach.Suddenly they saw that there were a few meteors on the sky, and Leon asked Laurina to close her eyes and make a wish.He then said in front of her “I hope that I can spend every minute with Laurina from now on; in addition, I would like to see her smile and well protected all the times…”
When Laurina heard his wish, she was shocked to know that Leon has fallen in love with her as well.Her heart was beating very quickly at that moment, and she asked herself whether she should listen to Aunt Clara’s comment or not.But then Leon suddenly held her hand and said “Laurina, I knew that it was a bit weird to tell you now… But I can’t control my love and desire on you…. My mind was so full of you ever since I met you…So can you give me a chance, my sweetheart?”
